Event Description

In this workshop, Fleur and Rachael from Lead Inspire will help businesses create a sustainability policy that meets their needs and feels relevant and authentic for them, using real examples in the food and drink industry.

It will cover:

About the speakers

Rachael is a certified Performance Coach, NLP practitioner and outdoor leader with extensive experience in development training and entrepreneurship. Over thirty years she has gained an excellent understanding of the challenges and complexities of running charities, social enterprises, and small businesses and working collaboratively with stakeholders in the community, business and the public sector. Her coaching and outdoor company, Carley Coaching was formed in 2021 and has B-Corp pending status.

Rachael Carley has completed a range of training in sustainability including ‘Sustainability & the Circular Economy’ (BEC), ‘Driving Business Towards with the Sustainable Development Goals’ (Erasmus University, Rotterdam) and is currently undertaking an accredited practitioner level course ‘Transition to a Sustainable Business’ (BEC).

Fleur Record-Smith is the founder of Hayne House, a wedding and events venue leading the industry on sustainability. She has first-hand experience of the challenges that small businesses face in terms of measuring their carbon footprint, implementing strategies to reduce their emissions and leading for change at industry level. She is passionate about putting her experience to use and support other businesses to transition to a sustainable future. Fleur is a B Corps B-Leader and an accredited sustainability professional of the GRI (leading Global Reporting Initiative). She is also a graduate of the Cambridge Institute for Sustainable Leadership in Business, and studying a Masters in Sustainability at Cranfield University.

About Lead Inspire

Lead Inspire Ltd was established in January 2023 by Directors, Rachael Carley and Fleur Record-Smith, who met through their shared interest in sustainability. Their objective is to help SME business owners successfully navigate the complex and often overwhelming sustainability landscape and make positive changes to their business.
