We are recruiting for a Communication and Event Manager to work as part of the ‘Growing Kent & Medway’ team. In the role, you will plan, promote and deliver in-person and virtual events for the innovation cluster, which is funded through the UKRI Strength in places fund (https://www.growingkentandmedway.com/). This post is fixed-term for three years.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working with key stakeholders to develop impactful and engaging events to support businesses across the horticulture and food and drink sectors. The events will provide ambitious organisations and entrepreneurs with the tools, knowledge and opportunities to drive sustainable business innovation.

You must have experience in using live virtual event and webinar service platforms to deliver high-quality interactive event experiences for delegates.  A proven track-record in identifying and booking engaging speakers and developing programme agendas with stakeholders is also required.

The post-holder is expected to work both independently and collaboratively with internal and external partners. A high-level of attention to detail and strong project management skills is essential. You must also have experience delivering successful in-person events.

Supporting the Senior Communications Manager, you will execute communication campaigns to raise awareness of events and manage the booking process; experience with social media, press, website content management and CRM systems is therefore desirable. You will hold a full driving license or have access to independent means of transport to undertake work at other sites which includes remote locations.
