Shelf life and Packaging In-person Workshop

Event Description

This course will provide the participants with concepts, methods and tools to help better understand and address the factors affecting the shelf life of food and drink products.

It will highlight the complexity of package design which must not only consider the biochemical, chemical, physical and biological changes that occur during processing, distribution, and storage but also consider sustainability and cost effectiveness.

By the end of the day you will understand the shelf-life of food and drink products and how to maximise it.

This workshop is particularly of interest to food and drink businesses who are looking to develop more sustainable packaging and increase the shelf life, whilst retaining the quality, of their product.

The workshop will be hosted by Linda Nicolaides, NRI Quality Assurance Manager and Programme Leader for MSc Food Innovation and Food Safety and Quality Management, at the University of Greenwich.

Lunch will be provided.

If the event is full please email [email protected] to be placed on a waiting list.

Event registration open to members only. Sign up here to become a member.
