Bio

Xiangming is the Director of Research at NIAB, he is responsible for securing research income and delivering research outputs. Xiangming’s educational background is in agronomy, specialising in Plant Qualitative Genetics. His current research activities centre on elucidating quantitative epidemiology of important pathogens/diseases on perennial crops, including top/soft fruit and ornamental species with the aim of developing and implementing sustainable and integrated disease management strategies. Recently, he has been engaged in understanding soil/substrate health and substrate recycling in relation to soil microbial ecology.
